John F. Palmieri has been named executive director of the New Jersey's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the body that oversees development tourism and meetings in Atlantic City. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie introduced Palmieri, who formerly served as director of Boston's Redevelopment Authority, at a press conference held in Atlantic City yesterday. In addition to his Boston post, Palmieri has spent his career working on revitalization projects in Providence, R.I.; Charlotte, N.C., and Hartford, Conn. He takes over the CRDA on Oct. 3.
