New Jersey's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority last week approved the boundaries for a new state-run tourism district in Atlantic City, according to press reports. The area's boundaries are Albany Avenue to the west, New Hampshire Avenue to the east and the Boardwalk to the south, incorporating the Atlantic City Outlets-The Walk outdoor mall, the Atlantic City Convention Center, Bader Field, the Marina District and Gardner's Basin. The measure is part of Gov. Chris Christie's master plan to increase tourism and convention business by 30 percent over the next five years.
