Following last week's county approval of a $500 million Las Vegas Strip entertainment complex, Caesars Entertainment officials plan to begin construction this month on the Linq project. The 18-month development will create a retail and entertainment district between Caesars' Imperial Palace and Flamingo resorts. Among the highlights will be a 550-foot observation wheel, consisting of 28 cabins that will hold up to 40 people each, and 326,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment venues. The project will create jobs for 3,000 construction workers and employ 1,500 people when open, according to the newspaper.
