According to several news sources, Hard Rock International has announced it is partnering with a local developer to build a casino-hotel on a 100-acre site off Interstate 91 in Western Massachusetts. The company would work with Paper City Development to build the facility in Holyoke, Mass., on the site of the Wyckoff Country Club. The go-ahead for the project is contingent on the passage of a gaming law in the state; currently, according to the Boston Globe, the House and the Senate have approved bills, and a six-member commission has been appointed to marry the bills together.
