The Las Vegas Sands Corp. has named Robert G. Goldstein as its new president and CEO, effective Jan. 1. Michael A. Leveen, who has served as president and CEO since 2009, is retiring at the end of the year. Goldstein was most recently president of global gaming operations for the company, which owns eight casino resorts worldwide, including the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas. Goldstein spent 15 years developing casino-hotels in the U.S. and Caribbean before joining Las Vegas Sands in 1995. At Sands, he has been instrumental in the development of the company's retail strategy as well as the dining, nightlife and entertainment offerings at each property.
