Voters in New Jersey are against Gov. Chris Christie's proposal to assume control of Atlantic City's boardwalk and the area around its 11 casinos, according to a Quinnipiac University poll. Forty-six percent of Garden State voters who responded opposed the plan, while 33 percent backed it. The survey also revealed that 69 percent of residents were in favor of reviving Atlantic City as a beach and boardwalk resort. The survey was taken by 1,190 New Jersey voters.
