According to various sources, Resorts World Sentosa will open 1,340 rooms in four hotels -- the Festive Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Crockfords Tower, and Hotel Michael, designed by architect Michael Graves -- on Sentosa, an island a quarter of a mile off Singapore's coast. The resort's casino, Singapore's first, is expected to debut in March, pending license approval from the government. Also opening this spring are a Universal Studios theme park and two additional properties, the Equarius Hotel and the Spa Villas. When completed, the resort will have 1,800 guest rooms and 300,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 1,600-seat plenary hall and a 70,000-square-foot ballroom.
