The $1.9 billion Galaxy Macau opened on Sunday with 450 gaming tables, 1,100 slot machines and more than 2,200 hotel rooms in the special administrative region of China. The 5.9-million-square-foot complex includes three hotels -- the 250-suite, 10-villa Banyan Tree Macau; the 488-room Hotel Okura Macau, and the 1,500-room Hotel Galaxy. For recreation, there's a rooftop wave pool and a man-made beach. More than a dozen meeting rooms are spread between the three properties, with square footage ranging from 860 to 14,300.
