The 1,467-room Tropicana Las Vegas, a DoubleTree by Hilton, is expanding its meeting facilities to 100,000 square feet. A new 26,000-square-foot Tropicana Pavilion addition will provide 11 breakout rooms, in addition to new restrooms and escalators. The current Tropicana Pavilion will get a facelift, including a decorative acoustic treatment for the walls. In total, the Pavilion, which is near the hotel's Club Tower, will offer 55,000 square feet of meeting space, bringing the total meeting and event space to 100,000 square feet throughout the resort. Construction is slated for completion March 1, 2015.
