Wynn Resorts Ltd. last week received approval from the Macau government to break ground on a 51-acre site on the rapidly growing Cotai Strip. Wynn plans to develop a 4.9 million-square-foot hotel complex that will include gaming areas, a convention center, retail areas, a spa, a night club and restaurants. "The official transfer of real estate in Cotai makes possible the commencement of the construction phase, of what will be the single most important project in the history of Wynn Resorts," said Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts, in a statement.
