The AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville opened yesterday, becoming the first entry in Canada from the design-led European lifestyle hospitality brand AC Hotels by Marriott. The 169-room property is in the heart of downtown Montreal, steps away from a vibrant entertainment neighborhood and the city's convention center.
The new-build hotel is on the first 12 floors of a 35-story high-rise that also includes luxury apartments. The oversized guest rooms feature hardwood floors, large walk-in showers and 50-inch HD TVs. For meetings, a total of 5,900 square feet of space can accommodate up to 150 people and is marked by 19-foot-high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum natural light.
Additional features include dining at the AC Kitchen (for the brand's signature European-flavored breakfast selection), La Palma (Mediterranean-inspired cuisine by chef David Capel) and the AC Lounge (crafted cocktails and tapas-style appetizers). The AC Store provides savory European snacks, refreshments and essential amenities. In addition, the 12th-floor pool offers panoramic views of Old Montreal and includes a dry sauna and an exercise room.
"We are delighted to welcome AC Hotels by Marriott's first Canadian property to Montreal," said Don Cleary, president of Marriott International, Canada. "AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville remains true to the brand's philosophy, which centers on creating thoughtfully designed moments that remind our entrepreneurial travelers to slow down and draws them into the present."
