The 126-room AC by Marriott Marseille Veladrome has opened in the revitalized Prado area of France's second-largest city. The property is near the Chanot Congress & Exhibition Center and Velodrome Stadium, as well as Calanques National Park, Notre-Dame de la Garde Basilica, the city's historic district and the Vieux Port. The International Marseille Provence airport is a 30-minute drive, and the Saint Charles train station is 10 minutes away.

The hotel features one meeting room, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi throughout all rooms and public spaces. The Oh Massalia restaurant serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The Marseille property is the sixth AC by Marriott hotel in France, joining the AC Hotel Ambassadeur Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, AC Hotel Nice, AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot and AC Hotel Paris Le Bourget. In January, Marriott announced that 22 new AC hotels will open in 2016.
