AMResorts expanded into two new destinations last weekend, with the openings of the Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancún and the Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica. The Zoëtry Villa Roland Isla Mujeres Cancún, the third Zoëtry wellness resort in Mexico and the fourth overall, offers 35 oceanfront suites, each with a Jacuzzi terrace. The resort has a private marina and 40-foot yacht that transports guests between Isla Mujeres and Cancún on the mainland. Guests receive a complimentary 20-minute spa treatment in the on-site Thalasso Spa, which includes a heat-regulated natural seawater pool. A la carte dining options include the resort's well-known Italian-Swiss restaurant, Casa Rolandi. The resort is on a secluded stretch of beach, about eight minutes from downtown Isla Mujeres. AMResorts' first Costa Rican property, the 447-room Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica, is in the country's northern Guanacaste region, on Playa El Jobo. The all-inclusive resort includes eight restaurants, five bars and lounges, and clubs for kids and teens. Amenities include a 44,000-square-foot swimming pool, a water slide, a kid's pool and a whirlpool, as well as a fitness center and a spa. The resort, about an hour and a half from Liberia International Airport, is close to two national parks and was built to achieve LEED certification.
