The Autograph Collection, Marriott's network of independent hotels, expects to add 11 new properties by year's end. Recent and upcoming additions include: the 3,400-room Atlantis, Paradise Island, the Bahamas; 156-room Metropolitan at the 9 in Cleveland; 56-room Tirada Palm Springs in California; four Ambassador Collection hotels, including the 43-room Ambassador Hotel Kansas City (Mo.), 117-room Ambassador Wichita (Kan.), 55-room Ambassador Tulsa (Okla.) and 54-room Ambassador Oklahoma City; and the Davenport Hotel Collection in Spokane, Wash., including the 284-room Davenport Hotel, 328-room Davenport Tower Hotel and 48-room Hotel Lusso, as well as the 716-room Grand Hotel Spokane, opening in the summer of 2015. Marriott also has named hotel-industry veteran Julius Robinson as vice president for Autograph Collection. Robinson was most recently vice president of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott.
