The 238-room Avenue of the Arts Hotel Costa Mesa in Orange County, Calif., will become a part of Starwood's Tribute Portfolio next spring. The property, which is in the performing-arts district near South Coast Plaza, will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation before the change.
The upgrade will affect all of the guest rooms, which will get hardwood floors, granite bathroom fixtures and organic bathroom amenities, along with a new style influenced by both art nouveau and art deco.

The property has 6,800 square feet of meeting space across seven rooms, including a 3,400-square-foot ballroom that can seat up to 250 for banquets. An executive boardroom seats 15 people. Also on-site are jogging trails, a pool with private cabanas, a fitness center with whirlpool and sauna, and a restaurant and bar.

"We are thrilled to welcome our second hotel in California, bringing the 'Stay Independent' mindset to Orange County," said Dave Marr, Tribute Portfolio global brand leader. "We look forward to working with the ownership team and to providing our loyal Starwood guests and customers with a classically designed, quintessential California hotel experience."
