The Boston Redevelopment Authority Board has approved a $190 million plan for the construction of a 330-room Aloft Hotel and a 180-room Element to accommodate attendees to events at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Earlier this year, CV Properties LLC came on as the developer. Construction could start by the end of the year on the vacant lot on D Street that was purchased last year. The hotels would open in 2015.
