As of Jan. 31, Capella Hotels and Resorts no longer will operate or be affiliated with the Capella Telluride in Colorado. The hotel will stay open as an independent property under new management. According to the Denver Post, the 95-room luxury hotel and the nearby Inn at Lost Creek in Mountain Village were slated to close at the end of the month, following a foreclosure by Swedbank on a $154 million loan. A deal struck last week keeps both open through the ski season.
