Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which earlier this year launched a new lifestyle brand, Radisson Red, has announced signings for the first four Radisson Red hotels in the Americas, all of which are scheduled to open by year-end 2016. The four new-build properties are the 58-room Radisson Red Bogota, Colombia; the 93-room Radisson Red Cali, Colombia; the 185-room Radisson Red Campinas, Brazil; and the 164-room Radisson Red Minneapolis Downtown.
"Red has already garnered strong interest and development momentum in Asia Pacific and in Europe, so we are very excited to announce our first hotels in the Americas," said Javier Rosenburg, COO Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. "For us, we see opportunity for Radisson Red in a segment we have termed 'lifestyle select,' which strives to create a uniquely engaging, personalized experience."

In addition to the four development projects in the Americas, Carlson Rezidor plans to open 60 Radisson Red hotels globally by 2020. The other locations currently under development include Brussels, Belgium; Capetown, South Africa; Glasgow, U.K.;  and Shenyang Hunnan, China.
