The 22-room boutique Carnegie Inn & Spa, formerly the Carnegie House, celebrated its reopening and the debut of its ESSpa at the Carnegie Inn this week. The State College, Pa., luxury property completed extensive renovations and additions, among them the construction of the spa and expansion of the on-site fine-dining restaurant. A new elevator services rooms on the second and third floors of the property's East Wing. The antique-furnished hotel is set in the woods overlooking the 17th green of Toftrees Golf Course, three miles from Penn State University's main campus. A boardroom holds up to 20 attendees, and the hotel can accommodate dinners and receptions of up to 50 guests. A grand opening will be held next week.
