Cleveland is planning a $350 million downtown development project that would include a 600- to 700-room hotel in addition to a pedestrian bridge, a 740-space parking garage, an overhaul of Public Square and other improvements to downtown areas. The development is expected to be completed by 2016. About $93 million of the financing would come from funds left over from the construction of the 1 million-square-foot Cleveland Convention Center and attached Global Center for Health Innovation complex, which will be unveiled later this month.
