The Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort and Spa in Tabernash, Colo., is adding a new lodge, barn and pavilion, opening in the fall. The High Lonesome Lodge will add 31 rooms and four suites to the property, and the upper terrace will welcome outdoor events. Also coming online is the 40-seat Wine Grotto; the 4,200-square-foot High Lonesome Barn, a Civil War-era structure that is being refitted for special events; and the 3,000-square-foot High Lonesome Pavilion. The 6,000-acre property has a 52-room lodge, 16 cabins and an 18,000-square-foot spa. The 2,900-square-foot Broad Axe Barn accommodates events for up to 150. For recreation, there's fly-fishing, zip-lining, stables and more.
