The 2,995-room Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, opening with at least 2,000 rooms on Dec. 15, will be part of Marriott International's Autograph Collection. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be the first Las Vegas hotel to join the new collection of boutique and luxury independent properties, and will give Marriott a presence on the Las Vegas Strip. The new hotel joins about a dozen others in the collection, and will benefit from Marriott International's distribution and sales network. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, which will open between two MGM-owned locations -- CityCenter and the Bellagio -- will feature a 100,000-square-foot casino, a spa and hammam, boutique shops and 150,000 square feet of meeting space.
