Cvent, an online event management platform, has named the top 100 meetings hotels in the U.S. The company based rankings on a variety of criteria, including the number of requests for proposal the property received through the Cvent Supplier network; average response rate to those RFPs; number of meeting rooms available; total square footage of meeting space offered, and the amount of business awarded each property by planners using the Supplier Network. The top 100 covered 17 states and the District of Colombia, but one state, Florida, accounted for nearly one-fifth of the list (with 19 top-scoring hotels). Nevada came in second, with 14 properties, followed by Texas, with 13 hotels. According to Cvent, the top 10 properties are the Peabody Orlando; Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville; the Hyatt Regency Atlanta; Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando; the Venetian and Palazzo Resort, Hotel & Casinos, Las Vegas; Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, Md.; Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.; the Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta; Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter, Las Vegas; and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas.
