Delano Las Vegas opened to the public yesterday in the space formerly occupied by THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Like its predecessor, the 1,100-room Delano Las Vegas aims to provide a boutique hotel experience at the mammoth Mandalay Bay resort, in an adjoining 43-story tower. Among the new outlets at the all-suite, nongaming and nonsmoking property are Franklin, an eclectic lounge; 3940 Coffee + Tea, and the restaurant Della's Kitchen. Bathhouse Spa has introduced a new menu of treatments as well. While the design and atmosphere reference that of the Delano in Miami's South Beach, the new property incorporates stone and desert themes that reflect its Nevada location. Delano Las Vegas offers 31 meeting rooms, the 1,200-square-foot Delano Living Room, and convenient access to the extensive meeting and convention facilities at Mandalay Bay.
