MGM Resorts International and Morgans Hotel Group will debut the Delano Las Vegas within the Mandalay Bay resort in late 2013. The 1,100-suite property will replace the current THEhotel within the resort. All of the current guest rooms will be remodeled, as will the on-site bars, lounges, spa and restaurants. The Morgans Hotel Group also will introduce three new F&B venues at Mandalay Bay, to be managed by The Light Group: a casual American bistro by chef Brian Massie, a Japanese restaurant by chef Akira Back and an overhaul of the nightclub Red Square. All three venues are expected to debut in 2013. "The Delano South Beach experience is very special and loved worldwide," noted Mandalay Bay president and COO Chuck Bowling in a statement, "most notably in key Latin American and European markets, which we have strategically identified for future growth potential."
