The six-month-old Mint Hotel Amsterdam is now the DoubleTree Amsterdam Centraal Station. The 553-room property is the first of five Mint hotels to convert to the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, with the United Kingdom's London Westminster and the Tower of London properties changing over next week and hotels in Leeds and Manchester early next year. Mint's other three properties in the U.K. -- in Glasgow, Scotland, and Bristol and Birmingham, England -- will become Hilton Garden Inns. The Amsterdam hotel, which opened in June, offers the rooftop Sky Lounge, the City Cafe restaurant, a fitness center and meeting space that includes a 4,488-square-foot ballroom.
