Following a more than US$20 million, 18-month renovation, the 595-room DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal is strutting its new self in the Quebec city's downtown. According to parent company Hilton, the newly renovated hotel features numerous interior and exterior updates and is poised to receive an additional US$8 million in capital injection to improve the overall guest experience.
"With our location in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal's entertainment district, this investment aims to optimize the hotel's role in the neighborhood, as well as reflect the spirit of the district within its walls," said Bernard Chênevet, general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal in a statement announcing the official opening. "Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles is internationally renowned, and we believe this hotel is one of the city's best-kept secrets here. These renovations will provide a place for our guests to fully enjoy the beautiful city of Montreal."

Dining options include a breakfast buffet at Saveur, featuring locally inspired cuisine, and the SIX Resto Lounge, a self-service wine bar. In addition to the hotel's 52,400 square feet of meeting and event space, there is a 24-hour fitness center with a heated indoor pool and sauna and a wellness center.

The 20-story property, a member of DoubleTree by Hilton's global portfolio of more than 540 upscale hotels around the globe, will feature 120 dedicated Hilton Honors guest rooms for members of its loyalty program. These accommodations are supplied with binoculars for guests to watch public shows from the comfort of the room, along with Nespresso machines.
