Hilton Worldwide has agreed to manage its first hotel in the Yucatán city of Merida, Mexico. Construction of the 100-room Doubletree by Hilton, Merida, will begin this month, and the hotel should open in March 2011. The property, about 10 minutes from the airport in the city's hotel and business district, will offer 3,000 square feet of meeting space, a full-service restaurant, a bar, a pool and a fitness center.
