The Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel is now open in the Binjiang business district of Hangzhou, China, near West Lake and Xiang Lake. The 301-room property, the first new-build Sheraton Grand to debut, represents Sheraton's premier tier, a designation based on distinguished design, excellence in service and the desirability of the destination itself.

"With all eyes on Hangzhou this year as the host of the 2016 G20 summit, China continues to be an extremely important growth market for Sheraton," said Starwood's Vincent Ong, senior brand director,  Asia Pacific Brand Management. The new hotel offers impressive views of the city and of the Qiantang River.

The Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Bingjiang offers all of the chain's signature amenities, such as a Sheraton Fitness Centre with Technogym equipment, as well as an indoor pool. On-site food-and-beverage options include the Yue Chinese restaurant, which serves contemporary Cantonese, Sichuan and local Hangzhou cuisine; Feast, Sheraton's signature restaurant with an open kitchen; Lobby Lounge, featuring a new Paired menu that offers matched small plates, premium wines and craft beers; and the Sheraton Club Lounge, which has complimentary breakfast and all-day refreshments for the Club level.

Meeting space at the new property includes 11 function rooms and a nearly 8,000-square-foot pillarless grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 people.
