The first phase of an extensive propertywide renovation at the 573-room Marriott Houston Aiport at George H.W. Bush International Airport has been completed. The work encompassed more than 300 of the guest rooms, giving them new décor, new furniture, technology upgrades and 47-inch TVs; the bathrooms also have been redesigned. In addition, the facade has been refreshed, landscaping redone, and the 30,000 square feet of meeting space has received new furnishing and new A/V. A business center has been added, as has a chef's garden near the pool deck.

Phase two, finishing up in November, will turn the lobby area into a "Texas-sized" great room, with new seating for groups and solo travelers. A new restaurant, Flights, will open with a full-service lounge. For members of Marriott Rewards, the property will introduce its new MClub Lounge.
