Downtown Pittsburgh's largest hotel became the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown last week, following a bankruptcy judge's ruling. The 712-room former Hilton Pittsburgh had been without a flag since September, when Hilton terminated its license agreement with the hotel; the property's lenders had recently been trying to block the name change in court. The hotel, now part of Wyndham's reservation system, will resume stalled renovations that will add a new spa and an indoor pool, expand the fitness center and conference facilities, and improve the building's façade. The work will be completed next fall. Prism Hotels and Resorts will continue to manage operations. The property offers more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 17,000-square-foot ballroom.
