Two Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will open in France in late 2017.
Located in Megève, France, where it will face the famed Mont Blanc, the all-new Four Seasons Hotel, Megève, will have 55 guest rooms at the base of the French Alps' Mont d'Arbois. Nearby, in the medieval Mont d'Arbois village, a collection of existing chalets will be renovated and turned into Chalet Du Mont d'Arbois, Megève, A Four Seasons Hotel. Between the two properties, guests will have access to four dining outlets, as well as the 18-hole Golf du Mont D'Arbois, which Four Seasons also will manage.
"Retaining the history and character of Mont d'Arbois while introducing Four Seasons' legendary personalized service, we will create something yet unseen in the French Alps," said Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts President and CEO J. Allen Smith. "Megève's mix of Alpine charm and sophistication makes it a popular destination among luxury travelers both from within Europe and further abroad, and we look forward to welcoming Four Seasons guests to discover the beauty of Megève year round."
Executing the project in partnership with Four Seasons is Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, a lifestyle company owned by Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild, descendants of the French Rothschild banking family.
"The de Rothschild family has a long history in Megève and we're honored they have chosen to partner with us to introduce this incredible destination to the next generation of luxury travelers," Smith concluded.
