On Lanai, the secluded Hawaiian island, the 217-room Four Seasons Resort Lanai has reopened following a two-year renovation. Among the upgrades to the luxury property are the addition of fully integrated and intuitive lighting; temperature, service and privacy controls; and iPad Airs in the guest rooms.

The resort's public areas and conference center (including a 7,000-square-foot ballroom) all have been upgraded, as well. The property's total meeting space comes to 55,682 square feet.

The projected also added a new restaurant, Nobu Lanai. Other dining options include One Forty, serving steaks and seafood, and Views at Manele Golf and Sports Bar. The property features an immersive spa and wellness program; luxury retail boutiques featuring Missoni, Jimmy Choo and the Lanai Collection; and the 18-hole ocean-view Jack Nicklaus Signature Manele Golf Course. The outdoor areas feature botanical gardens; a lagoon-style, free-form central pool with a cascading waterfall; and the adults-only Retreat, which has waterfalls and lava-rock grottos that offer views of Hulopo'e Bay. Activities offered at the resort include hiking and horseback riding in the green upcountry, off-roading in a Polaris UTV across red-dirt roads, snorkelling in a marine sanctuary, whale- and dolphin-watching, helicopter-flying lessons and Hawaiian culture activities with local elders.
