North Hollywood's chic and celebrated The Garland has completed a $1 million renovation to its 5,100-square-foot Garland Ballroom, further complementing the 257-room luxury Los Angeles hotel with modern technological upgrades as well as high-design touches.

Attendees are treated to 13-foot elevated ceilings embellished with hand-crafted gold ring pendants, new geometric-pattern carpeting, wood wall accents and additional doors that encourage an easy flow to and from the hotel's exterior courtyard. As for its new tech, the reimagined ballroom now offers enhanced lighting and A/V capabilities -- including a LiteLab Busport System for theatrical lighting and simplified projector installation -- plus Armstrong noise-dampening tiles and a noise-canceling ballroom partition.

"On the heels of adding 5,200 square feet of outdoor space with our Beverly Park West expansion, we're excited to introduce a completely new ballroom experience for those looking to celebrate a special occasion or hold a large-scale event," said general manager Scott Mills. "Offering a subtle balance between imagination and excitement, the Garland Ballroom is equipped to host events of a variety of sizes -- from conferences, speaker panels, receptions, special celebrations, charity events and beyond."

Located on seven acres about one mile from the Hollywood Freeway and Universal Studios, The Garland features more than 20,000 square feet of flexible indoor/outdoor meeting and event space, custom banquet and catering, a new outdoor garden/wedding venue, an 1,800-square-foot theater and 13 additional spaces that can accommodate everything from smaller executive retreats to larger conferences and celebrations.
