According to the Denver Post, a plan to build a Gaylord conference resort in Aurora, Colo., which had been scrapped following Marriott International's purchase last year of the Gaylord brand, is now back on track. Financial partner Area Property Partners of New York is working on getting the money for the $824 million project, and a developer has been chosen for the 1,500-room hotel: Rida Development Corp. of Houston. "We never gave up," Wendy Mitchell, president and CEO of the Aurora Economic Development Council, told the Post.
