Gemstone Hotels & Resorts has assumed management of the landmark Copley Square Hotel in Boston. The 143-room property was built in 1912 and recently received a nearly $20 million renovation. Upgrades included improvements to the infrastructure and a redesign of the guest rooms, dining facilities and public spaces. Among the luxury hotel's signatures are the Wine Down Hour, a nightly wine-tasting in the lobby lounge, as well as morning coffee and seasonal afternoon beverage service in the lobby. The property does not have meeting space but offers its dining room, XHALE, for dinners of up to 65 people. A private dining room seats 14.
