Private equity investment firm Geolo Capital will acquire a majority stake in Joie de Vivre Hospitality, which manages 33 boutique hotels in California. Geolo founding partner and director John Pritzker, the son of Hyatt Hotels founder Jay Pritzker, will become chairman of Joie de Vivre. His plans include doubling the company's revenues and expanding the number of properties to 50, adding hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. by means of third-party management agreements, joint ventures and acquisitions. The Carmel Valley Ranch, which Geolo acquired last year, will become part of the Joie de Vivre luxury collection later this year.
