The 348-room Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, in Mexico's Riviera Nayarit, will unveil a new convention center this fall. Property officials say the 12,900-square-foot Sanctuary Convention Center will be the largest ever built in Nuevo Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit region; it will triple the resort's current meeting space to nearly 20,000 square feet total.

Named for the legendary U.K.-based Sanctuary Records Group label and studio, the convention center will pay tribute to former Sanctuary artists such as Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses and Elton John with displayed memorabilia from those artists. The venue will be able to accommodate as many as 1,500 attendees, its meeting and event space divisible into four flexible separate sections. The convention center construction already is complete; it will officially open when all of the rock memorabilia is in place.

The all-inclusive resort offers six restaurants, five bars, two outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, a spa, a salon and nightly theme parties at an outdoor amphitheater.
