On Tuesday, Hilton Worldwide expanded its Chinese traveler welcome program, known as Hilton Huanying. The customized experience can now be found at 110 Hilton properties globally, among the locations Chinese travelers most commonly frequent. The program, based on the Chinese word for "welcome," includes newly updated amenities and service standards and has been instituted in 65 cities among the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and DoubleTree by Hilton brands. Hilton rolled out the program in 2011; according to Hilton's global head of full-service brands, Rob Palleschi, "Chinese travelers who stay at Huanying properties express a greater overall satisfaction in their hospitality experience." In addition to expanding the program's locations, Hilton has expanded the traditional Chinese breakfast menu and now offers a 24-hour Mandarin interpretation service. These complement the established Huanying amenties, which include a welcome note in Simplified Chinese and guest room amenities such as tea kettles, slippers and a Mandarin-language television channel.
