Hilton Worldwide has signed a development deal with Qatar investor Al-Rayyan Hospitality to develop a new resort property at the country's Salwa Beach. The 104-acre project, which according to Hilton is the largest development of its kind in the Middle East and a first for Qatar, will be anchored by the 362-room Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, Qatar. It will include 32 one- and two-bedroom suites, as well as several villas with five bedrooms. Additional facilities will include 32,000 square feet of meeting space, a 28,000-square-foot health club and spa, 13 restaurants and bars, retail shopping and an entertainment complex. There is no word yet on when the project will break ground.
