A $20 million room renovation will begin in October at the 657-room Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C., which first opened in 1925. The property will remain open for business during the project, which will add new flat-screen TVs, high-speed wireless Internet, ergonomic work areas and iPod-docking stations to the guest rooms. This renovation comes on the heels of an earlier upgrade to the hotel's nearly 43,000 square feet of conference space.
