The 72-room Hotel Zamora in St. Pete Beach, Fla., is now the Kimpton Hotel Zamora, following its reflagging under the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants banner. The boutique property is Kimpton's first on Florida's West Coast. The hotel has 9,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, a restaurant and a rooftop bar that features views of the Gulf of Mexico.
"The Kimpton Hotel Zamora's distinct design and prized location presented the perfect opportunity for us to enter Florida's West Coast and expand even further into the leisure and resort sector," Kimpton CEO Mike DeFrino said in a statement.
"We are thrilled to have Kimpton assume management of the Kimpton Hotel Zamora given the company's proven track record operating profitable and popular hotels in Florida," said Henry Suarez, managing partner and owner of the Zamora Hospitality Group LLC, in a statement. Hotel Zamora is Kimpton's sixth property in the Sunshine State; the others are the EPIC Hotel, the Angler's Hotel and the Surfcomber Miami/South Beach, all in Miami; the Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa in Palm Beach, and the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa.
