Hyatt Hotels Corp. has introduced the Hyatt Convention Alliance, a program developed for planners who organize multiyear, multicity bookings for their organizations.

The goal, says Nate Hardesty, director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, is to develop a single contract for those multiyear deals. "Right now we are working through all contractual language so, at the least, the negotiation process will be seamless amongst the hotels because we've all agreed upon language specific to our markets and what's possible in our properties," he explained.

The new alliance -- which currently includes 10 Hyatt properties -- aims to help create a smooth transition for a group from one year to the next, across multiple cities. On property, Hyatt Convention Alliance associates will manage group information from a central, shared database. The inaugural participating properties are the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place (Chicago), Hyatt Regency O'Hare (Chicago), Hyatt Regency Dallas, Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, Hyatt Regency New Orleans, Hyatt Regency Orlando, Grand Hyatt San Antonio and Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.
