Hyatt Hotels and Small Luxury Hotels of the World have teamed up to give World of Hyatt loyalty members more booking and earning options. Starting late this year, World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem points at SLH, a collection of more than 500 luxury hotels around the world. Members must book at participating SLH properties via Hyatt channels.
"This is another example of how Hyatt continues to listen to the wants and needs of World of Hyatt members and take meaningful action," said Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt president and CEO. "SLH's high-end collection of boutique hotel experiences means our members will soon be able to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points in more places, including many new locations in Europe and Asia."
While the alliance significantly expands lodging options for Hyatt loyalty members, it also represents a big perk for the independent properties in the SLH collection. "Our hotels are our brand," noted SLH CEO Filip Boyen, "and we look forward to expected increased occupancy with significant exposure to the World of Hyatt program's more than 10 million members."
The hospitality companies are targeting year-end 2018 to launch the program.
