Hyatt Hotels Corp. rolled out a new corporate responsibility program on Monday, a global platform called Hyatt Thrive. With community improvement as its goal, the program is grounded in four pillars: environmental sustainability, economic development and investment, education and personal advancement, and health and wellness. All Hyatt properties are expected to improve their respective communities under the auspices of the program, beginning with a month-long inaugural volunteer initiative, which started Monday. This Friday, nearly 400 employees at the company's corporate headquarters in Chicago descend on a public-school campus to paint, landscape and create canvas murals for a more welcoming learning environment. More details about the program are available here.
