The 533-room Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is spending $25 million to refurbish all the guest rooms, the public areas and the restaurants, to be finished by late spring. Decorative pieces will be sourced locally, such as Red Wing Stoneware pieces in the guest rooms and works by local artists throughout. New food and beverage concepts include a 360-degree lobby bar. Changes to the upscale restaurant will be announced soon. "Green" wastebaskets with built-in recycling compartments will be in each guest room. The property offers 74,000 square feet of meeting space.
