All 1,200 rooms at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans will be renovated in time for the 31-story building to reopen in late 2011. When the redesign of the property is complete, it will feature more than 200,000 square feet of meeting space, doubling its offerings. The hotel has been closed since Hurricane Katrina caused extensive damage in 2005.
