A new headquarters hotel for the Washington State Convention Center, the 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Seattle, will open in December. The property's debut follows the August 2018 groundbreaking for a new building and renovations at the WSCC.
Guest rooms at the new hotel will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, photography from local artists on the walls and 65-inch TVs. The 103,000 square feet of meeting space will be made up of two 19,000-square-foot ballrooms, two junior ballrooms (spanning 7,200 square feet and 3,400 square feet, respectively) and 35,000 square feet of naturally lit prefunction space. There will be a total of 46 meeting rooms, ranging from 600 to 1,900 square feet, as well as a high-end boardroom with a private balcony, which will accommodate up to 22 people.
The three on-site F&B outlets will include the high-end steak house Daniel's Broiler, featuring a large bar area with a piano bar, and serving an extensive wine list and a large collection of whiskeys. A more casual, Italian-style trattoria will have a menu of pizzas and pastas. A grab-and-go market, open 24 hours, will have café seating.
The new hotel is two blocks from the convention center and within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Space Needle.
