The Hyatt Regency flag will be flying over a hotel currently under construction in Renton, Wash. The Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is expected to open in 2017, rising 12 stories on a 5.5-acre lakefront site. The property will have 347 guest rooms, including 31 suites, and will offer approximately 43,000 square feet of meeting space, 12,000 square feet of event terraces overlooking Lake Washington, and a variety of culinary experiences. Additional amenities include a VIP lounge, local art on the walls, a full-service spa, a fitness center and an indoor pool.

The hotel will be part of the mixed-use Southport development. The complex, which is nine miles northeast of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and 11 miles south of downtown Seattle, will include luxury apartments, three office towers and retail space.
