The Hyatt Regency in Kansas City, Mo., will be rebranded the Sheraton Crown Center on Jan. 1, 2012, after undergoing a $13 million renovation of its guest rooms and public space. The 733-room hotel, adjacent to the 53,000-square-foot Crown Center Exhibit Hall and less than a mile from the city's 688,800-square-foot convention center, features more than 95,000 square feet of function space, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a fitness facility. Sheraton-brand amenities will include a club lounge, the Sheraton Fitness program and Link @Sheraton, a business lounge with computer workstations and meeting areas. The developments come as part of Starwood's strategic multiyear expansion plan for Sheraton that has added more than 60 new hotels and more than 20,000 rooms.
